About this tour

Discover the Sights and Stories of Corfu with a Shore Trip from Corfu Port

Arriving at Corfu Port, the salt air mixing with sun-warmed stones, you sense Corfu’s slower rhythms and seaside charm before you even step ashore. For visitors hoping to savor more than just a glimpse of the island, the From Corfu Port: Shore Trip with Boat Cave Tour or Beach offers a relaxed but immersive way to explore highlights of Corfu, Greece during a cruise stop or short stay.

Seamless Port Pickup and Easy Travel

The day starts with pick-up right at the port, where tour hosts wait in the warm morning shade for disembarking travelers. An air-conditioned vehicle whisks you from the busy hub of ship arrivals, winding toward rolling hills, olive groves, and the Ionian coastline beyond. With round-trip transport and guidance, you can soak in the views and stories—no fuss over taxis or bus schedules.

Paleokastritsa: Coastline Drama and Blue Water

The itinerary centers on Paleokastritsa, a village famed for turquoise coves, steep cliffs, and dramatic views. Here, you can choose how you wish to spend your time: enjoy a leisurely stretch on the sand or opt for a boat cave tour along the lush headlands. The water glimmers with changing hues—emerald to deep blue—while pine-shaded hills rise behind the shore. If you join the boat trip, you’ll see craggy caves and hidden beaches up close, the spray cool on your skin and seabirds overhead.

Corfu Town: Venetian Echoes and UNESCO Heritage

Returning to bustling Corfu Town, you’ll walk the narrow lanes and sun-baked squares of one of Greece’s most atmospheric old cities. Your guide, knowledgeable in Corfu’s layered past, brings stories to life as you pass arched alleys, pastel mansions, and the old fort watching over the harbour.

Flexible Exploration: Free Time to Wander

You’ll then have free time to explore—pause for a coffee under a shaded arcade, browse shops for olive-wood souvenirs or local kumquat liqueur, or settle in a taverna for plump olives and slow-cooked stifado. Every corner offers a chance to sample Corfiot flavors or discover a tucked-away church. Those looking to enjoy the local dining scene will find plenty of welcoming spots within minutes’ stroll of the central square.

Guided Insights or Independent Pace

The From Corfu Port: Shore Trip with Boat Cave Tour or Beach experience offers two distinct grooves: you may choose the guided tour option, hearing stories and local insights throughout, or explore more privately at your own pace. “Was a lovely day. I must have been mistaken though, as I thought we were able to swim in caves. Swimming was at the beach, which was brief limited time but beautiful. More time in the town also would have been nice if time permitted. Great day and experience!”

“They were early, waiting right where they said they would be. Alice was our guide, she was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She shared details about her life and living in Greece that made it so much more personal. The monastery was stunning-the views, the tiles and art. The lunch spot (Monastre) was sumptuous! Antony was our driver, he was very attentive and gave us a smooth ride. I would highly recommend them and this tour!”

“Good tour, loved old town…. Just needs more time there”

“Loved everything about this tour. The tour group were very efficient with their communication giving clear instructions for pick up at the cruise port and the tour itself was informative with our guide Anastasia giving us heaps of information. Our bus driver, Andreas, was skilled at navigating the narrow streets and got us back to the port safely. My favourite part of the tour was the Boat cave tour but I enjoyed everything we did.”

“Fabulous overview of Corfu & surrounding areas. Our driver Akis was fantastic. He gave us very knowledgeable commentary on the island of Corfu from his personal experiences & suggested out of the way places of interest to see. He also provided bottled water & was very aware of our comfort at all times. When he dropped us at the Old Town he gave us his personal recommendations of an authentic Taverna to eat & places of interest to see plus a recommendation for the best gelato ever. Would highly recommend this tour & in particular Akis as a driver.”

“We had an absolutely amazing time in Corfu. It was easy to find the transportation from the cruise ship and they got us back to port with plenty of time. We had a small miscommunication but Vicki (the manager), Christina (our guide), and Magda(from Vexpiro) all worked together to make it right and the day was AMAZING. Our group of 21 kept commenting all day how much we LOVED Christina our guide. She was knowledgeable, skilled, and so so kind. We happened to be in town when the Olympic torch was passing through and she found out how to get us to see it. One thing to keep in mind, and may be a good thing to update in the description, is that the boat tour to see the caves is dependent on it being high season. If we wouldn't have had such a great time with Christina we would have been disappointed that we didn't get to do the boat. Overall HIGHLY recommend booking this tour and this company. They were responsive and great about communicating leading up to the tour. We really loved it”

“Great activity! Paleokastritsa was a beautiful place! Would’ve liked a bit more time to swim but it was nice while we were there. The city tour was also really good. Maria was very knowledgeable and very nice. Definitely recommend.”

“Excellent guide and wonderful tour! Our guide was awesome and really personalized our tour, offering us some great restaurant ideas for after the tour and also answered lots of questions about the Cretan culture, language, and sites. We loved the food tasting, which was really almost an entire meal with lots of cheeses, fruits, olives, bread and other Cretan dishes and some Raki tasting and olive oil tasting that was truly incredible. The vendors we tasted products from were also extremely hospitable and wonderful to interact with.”
