There are two materially different products behind this ten-hour day. One combines the sea crossing with a coach and guided visit to Butrint; the other leaves participants with independent time in Saranda. Butrint admission, its museum, the guided road section and the buffet meal are tied to the guided option. Selecting the cheaper-looking line without reading its inclusions can remove the archaeological site that the tour title appears to promise.

Documents come before itinerary

This is an international border crossing from Greece into Albania and back. Travellers must carry the original passport or identity document accepted for their nationality; a phone image cannot replace it. Entry rights differ by citizenship and residence status. Paths, heat and the climb toward the upper area make footwear more consequential than at the promenade.
