The first decision for this Liapades walk is footwear, not scenery. Its 3.5 hours connect village lanes, olive-grove tracks, elevated coastal paths and the twin beaches of Limni. Images of blue water do not make it a beach transfer: reaching the swimming stop requires a genuine hike, and the return continues on foot.
From the church to the coast
The stated meeting place is outside the church and cemetery in Liapades, unless the selected option includes pickup. A village bakery provides a homemade sweet before the group leaves the built-up streets. The trail then approaches Rovinia, looks down towards a cave, passes abandoned villas and follows paths above small private beaches. Limni is the main pause: its two-sided shore provides time to rest and, when conditions permit, swim.

A swim stop is an opportunity, not a promise
Sea state, temperature and remaining daylight determine how practical the swim will be. Bring swimwear and water, but be prepared to stay ashore. The trail description concludes through the older lanes of Liapades, where the guide places the village and its olive cultivation in context. Depending on the operating season, the final elevated views may coincide with sunset; that does not mean every departure walks in darkness.

How demanding is it?
Recent participants describe the walk as somewhat challenging. The operator supplies trekking poles and a cereal bar, but explicitly rejects sandals and flip-flops. People with mobility impairment, epilepsy, kidney problems, a recent operation or a body weight above 140 kilograms are excluded; the published list also flags anyone currently unwell with a cold. Weather may force cancellation.
There is also a group-size inconsistency worth checking. The product header says a maximum of ten, while a highlight states up to eight. Travellers choosing it specifically for a small group should confirm the cap attached to their date rather than assume the smaller figure.

Read the Corfu beach guide if your priority is easy shore time rather than walking. For planning the trip to the village, use the Corfu transport guide before deciding between meeting locally and a pickup option.
