Ruby is the named boat, not a themed itinerary. The private eight-hour trip leaves Corfu’s Old Port, gives the city’s seafront monuments a water-level pass, then uses the remainder of the day for the north-east shore. That combination separates it from a marina charter that begins beyond the urban coastline.

Departure from the Old Port makes the fortress frontage part of the route rather than a separate transfer.

The opening leg is an urban shoreline inventory

The supplier lists the Old and New Fortresses, Garitsa Bay, Mon Repos, Vlacherna, Vido and Lazareto as sights seen from the boat. They are not advertised as landing visits. Farther north, Kouloura, Barbati, Erimitis and Nissaki provide the setting for swimming, snorkelling and stand-up paddleboarding; Kouloura church and the White House associated with the Durrell family are viewing points along that coast.

The 8.5-metre boat carries a single crew member; the bookable group is listed as private for up to eight.

The performance figure is not a promise to cruise at that speed

The technical description gives Ruby a 300-horsepower Mercury engine and quotes a high maximum cruising figure. Actual progress must reflect passenger comfort, local restrictions and sea conditions. The equipment list is more useful for planning: sun canopy, freshwater shower, boarding ladder, GPS plotter, Bluetooth sound, USB power, snorkel sets and one SUP.

A professional skipper, taxes, soft drinks, water, beer and snacks are included. Fuel is a separate surcharge; the live product shows an indicative group amount, but that figure should be checked at booking because route and commercial terms can change. A restaurant lunch at Glyfa can be added to the day but is not included.

Swimming time competes with sightseeing mileage and an optional restaurant stop during the eight-hour window.

Set the day’s priority before leaving the harbour

A group wanting several long swims should not also expect every named landmark and a leisurely lunch ashore. Ask the skipper to rank the route around one primary aim: city photography, water activities or maximum north-east reach. Also confirm how infants count toward capacity, because the technical boat note mentions nine day guests while the booking product is sold for a smaller private group.

Study the city landmarks in the Corfu Old Town guide, then compare this fast motorboat with slower craft in the boat-tour guide.
