“I don't recommend it! Someone had jumped onto the terrace at night and stolen our swimsuits. The hotel didn't lift a finger, even though there are cameras. The food - bad, the location - bad...”

“Our stay at this hotel was unfortunately quite disappointing, although there were some positives. Most of the staff at reception and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful, but communication was difficult as none of the staff we interacted with spoke English well enough for clear and easy communication. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The rooms looked acceptable at first, but there were huge amounts of dust under the beds, suggesting these areas had not been properly cleaned for a long time. We also had a very unpleasant experience with one housekeeper who banged on our door and rudely told us that she had to clean immediately and that we needed to leave. When we asked for just 10 minutes to get ready, she muttered something under her breath and walked away visibly annoyed. The bathroom was another major problem. After every shower, the floor was completely flooded and several towels were needed to dry it. This was especially frustrating because towels were only replaced every 2–3 days, even when they were wet or dirty. Breakfast was a very basic buffet with cereal, ham, cheese, eggs, bacon and bread. Unfortunately, the cheese, cold cuts, eggs and bacon often did not seem fresh. The bread was surprisingly the best part and was always fresh. The coffee was fine, while the orange juice came from cartons. The hotel shop is also extremely overpriced – even a bottle of water costs around three times more than at the nearby supermarket. There are some definite positives. The hotel looks nice and well maintained from the outside, and the swimming pool appears clean. The location is also excellent. Chandris supermarket and several quieter bars are around a 3-minute walk away, while the nearest beach is approximately 5 minutes away. Overall, the hotel benefits from a great location, nice outdoor areas and generally friendly staff, but cleanliness, housekeeping, bathrooms and breakfast need significant improvement. If you only need a well-located place to sleep in Kavos, it may be enough. However, if cleanliness and comfort are important to you, I would consider these issues before booking.”
