A broad catalogue, seen from the street
The published route names the Old Fortress, Spianada, the Liston, City Hall Square, the Duomo and former theatre, Ionian Parliament, Ionian University, Campiello, the former British royal palace, Mouragia, and the Jewish quarter with its synagogue. That is too extensive for detailed interior visits in 150 minutes. The operative wording is “see” and “hear”: admissions to museums and fortresses are listed among exclusions.
Biography prevents the architecture becoming a checklist
A façade tells only part of the story. The product’s differentiator is the guide’s account of prominent residents and their relationship to particular streets, mansions and public buildings. This is especially useful for a repeat visitor who already recognises the Liston but does not know why the town contains a British palace, an Ionian parliament or multiple religious districts within a compact centre.

English and German are the offered languages, with no more than eight guests. The starting point is outside the Old Fortress beside the Schulenburg monument; look for the guide’s branded sign.
