Jazz by Corfu’s Old Fortress: Concert, Stories and Dinner Are Separate

The CorfuDiscovery listing still says “at the Vineyard”, but GetYourGuide product 425274 now describes an open-air jazz evening at Corfu Sailing Restaurant beside the Old Fortress. The current experience combines live sets, English-language stories about the island’s musical culture and a reserved table. Food and drinks are available from the restaurant but are not included in the activity ticket.

Find the venue through the fortress entrance

This is not a street-facing club that can be spotted from the Liston. Guests enter via the Old Fortress, give their name to the restaurant team and walk approximately five to ten minutes to the marina-side venue. Comfortable shoes are more useful than formal footwear, and arriving at the fortress entrance is not the same as being seated.

Three performances structure the 2.5 hours

The live description currently advertises three jazz performances, with local stories between sets. The repertoire may span standards, reinterpretations and improvisation; it is not a named-artist recital with a guaranteed programme. English narration is a meaningful component, so guests seeking uninterrupted music should understand the hosted format.

Order dinner only if service can fit the sets

Mediterranean dishes, wine and other drinks can be purchased from the restaurant. They are optional and billed separately. If dinner is important, arrive ready to order and ask how service is timed around the performances. If focused listening is the priority, eating beforehand may avoid conversation and table service during a favourite set.

Bring a payment method accepted by the venue and a light layer for an exposed harbour evening. Because the event is open air, confirm what happens in unsuitable weather.
