Fieroula Restaurant: Seafood with a View in Pentati, Corfu

High above the glimmering Ionian Sea, where the salt air carries whispers of pine and wild thyme, Fieroula Restaurant in Pentati, Corfu is a spot known to those who value authentic Greek cooking with a seaside twist. This welcoming eatery invites guests to slow down and savour what Corfiot hospitality is all about—local produce, fresh-caught seafood, and sunsets that wash the sky in copper and rose.

Atmosphere: Simple, Honest, Simply Corfu

Pentati is a hilltop village that feels worlds away from the busy promenades of Corfu’s resort coast. Fieroula blends easily with its surroundings—whitewashed walls, shaded terrace tables, and that unmistakable scent of the sea drifting up every afternoon. It’s the kind of place where lunches linger and evenings echo with quiet conversation, punctuated by the gentle sound of church bells or a passing fishing boat down on the water.

On the Table: From Sea to Plate

At Fieroula Restaurant, the focus is decidedly on what’s local, fresh, and seasonal. Seafood is the star here, influenced by both Greek tradition and the bounty of the Ionian. You might find grilled octopus with a charred edge, crisp calamari, or plump mussels simmered in garlic and white wine. The menu usually offers classic Greek salads showered in briny feta, and perhaps the day’s catch simply dressed in lemon and Corfiot olive oil.

Comforting house specialties—like baked fish in tomato or smoky eggplant dips—often share the table, making this an easy choice for both seasoned seafood lovers and those after familiar Mediterranean flavours.

Views and Village Life

Fieroula’s terrace delivers open views over the Ionian, framed by cypress silhouttes and the terracotta roofs of Pentati. As the sun drops, the sky shifts through layers of peach and mauve—a favourite time for locals and visitors alike to settle in for a long, sociable dinner. Listen for the clink of glasses and laughter from nearby tables as village life rumbles gently on.

Location: Pentati and Southwest Corfu

This quiet corner of Corfu, Greece rewards those willing to wander off the main tourist track. “Delicious food and friendly staff! It can get a bit noisy. It’s recommended to make a reservation, especially if you want to visit around the sunset hours.”

“A hidden gem off the beaten tourist track! Fieroula completely won us over. We made a spontaneous reservation and got a fantastic spot on the rooftop terrace. The service was very professional and friendly. The food was excellent, fresh, and better seasoned than in many restaurants in the area. The house rosé was also absolutely superb! We had the seafood linguine, the pastitsada, and the briam as a starter. Anyone wanting to try regional Corfiot dishes simply must eat here. Thank you for a wonderful evening, 150 meters above sea level.”

“We were treated very courteously right from the start when we made our reservation by phone. Making a reservation is highly recommended. This absolutely exceptional restaurant is deservedly very popular! After superb service and delicious food, with a breathtaking view of the sea, we were able to personally thank and praise the chef. Location, dishes, and the entire team: TOP-NOTCH!! Unfortunately, there are only 5 stars to give… :)”
