Extremamente lamentável essa experiência I’ve been to Greece over 15 times, and this was definitely the worst car rental agency I’ve ever encountered. It started with the service: an extremely rude couple who literally said that *they* were the owners and *we* were the tourists, so we had to go along with whatever they proposed. We received a car that was filthy, damaged, and smelled terrible. When we complained, they told us there was no way to swap it and that if we cancelled, we would lose everything we had already paid. The car was handed over with no gas and sand everywhere. Returning the car was even worse; we dropped it off at the Port location, and the employee there was even ruder. It was a truly appalling experience.”

“Ne carefull and try to avoid this car rental After travelling through several countries over the past three weeks, we have unfortunately had several disappointing experiences with bookings made through Check24. The rental car in Corfu has been the most frustrating one so far. We booked our rental car through Check24, with AurumCars as the intermediary, and Green Motion Corfu as the local rental company. Although we contacted them several times and days before our arrival to change both the pickup and return times, none of our requests were accommodated. When we arrived, our ferry had been delayed. Even though we picked up the car during the company’s regular opening hours, we were charged an additional €85 for the late pickup. What makes even less sense is that, despite paying this fee, we are still required to return the car at 10:00 a.m., the original return time. If we want to return it based on our actual pickup time, we have been told we must pay another €70. Throughout the process, we felt that every opportunity was used to charge additional fees. The most shocking part was the interaction with the employees. When we questioned the unexpected charges, we were told that they could simply cancel our booking, keep our money, and leave us without a car. After a long journey, we felt pressured into accepting the additional costs because we had no realistic alternative. If you have already booked with Green Motion, document everything. Take detailed photos and videos of every scratch, dent, wheel, the roof, the interior, and even underneath the vehicle. While waiting almost two hours for our car, we witnessed another customers being accused of damage that, according to them, had already been accepted at pickup. We are equally disappointed with Check24 and AurumCars. Since we booked our entire trip through Check24, we expected reliable support when problems occurred. Instead, it was almost impossible to reach a real person. The only option was requesting a callback, while the AI chatbot repeatedly misunderstood the issue and provided no practical help. This post reflects our personal experience, but we hope it helps other travellers know what to expect and encourages them to document everything carefully.”

“We rented a car from Green Motion for two days, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The first issue was that we received no information by email about the airport shuttle or the location of the rental office before our arrival. We had to call the office ourselves. The man who answered the phone was very rude and simply told us to wait for the green “bus.” When we called again to make sure we were waiting in the right place, he then said it was actually a minibus. His English was very poor, which made communication unnecessarily difficult. Unfortunately, he was our only point of contact, which is quite surprising for an international car rental company. The car itself was old, in poor condition, and had damage in several places. Despite this, they blocked €992 on our EC card as a security deposit, which felt excessive considering the condition of the vehicle. Returning the car was no better. The staff were again rude and unprofessional. They seemed to have no idea how to communicate with customers, and not once did they greet us with a smile or show any friendliness. Overall, this was one of the worst car rental experiences we have had. There are many other rental companies on Corfu, and based on our experience, I would strongly recommend choosing one of them instead.”
