About this tour

Sip, Savor, and Discover: Kavos Winery Tour with Wine Tasting in Corfu

Set against Corfu’s southern coast, where the olive groves roll into the salt-tinted air and the sea breeze carries the promise of the coming evening, the Kavos: Winery Tour with Wine Tasting invites curious travelers off the main road and into the vineyard traditions of Greece. This wine-focused gathering goes beyond sipping—it’s an intimate look at how generations of winemakers in Corfu have shaped the flavors you’ll taste in your glass.

Arriving at the Vineyard

From the comfort of your Corfu hotel, you’ll be whisked away by a convenient pickup service, the pine-shaded winding lanes giving way to open fields as you near the family winery. The warm morning light or golden afternoon sun lights up the rows of vines, offering a first glimpse of the life behind the island’s wines.

A Guided Introduction to Corfu’s Wine Heritage

Your welcome includes more than a handshake. The winemaker and their team begin the tour by sharing the stories, tools, and techniques passed down through the family—each bottle a blend of tradition and natural influences unique to this Mediterranean region. The tour includes an exclusive visit to the winery’s museum, where objects and photos bring to life the age-old relationship between Corfu and the vine.

Tasting Corfu’s Character in a Glass

The heart of the Kavos: Winery Tour with Wine Tasting is the guided tasting session. Three carefully selected wines—white, red, and rosé—are poured for you, each revealing the soil, sun, and spirit of southern Corfu. Alongside the wines, you’ll find plates of garden-fresh snacks and local cheese, thoughtfully chosen to pair beautifully with each tasting. These bites ground the flavors in Corfu’s culinary landscape, making the experience as much about the region’s traditions as the wines themselves.

Warm Hospitality and Personal Touches

Recent guests appreciate not just the wines and snacks, but also the warmth and knowledge of the winery hosts. Time at the vineyard feels like joining a family gathering—genuine, unhurried, and welcoming to questions about everything from grape varietals to family history. The staff is happy to illuminate the heritage of each tasting and answer even quirky curiosities along the way.

“Loved every bit of this tour from the air conditioned vehicle we were picked up in, to the amazing food and wine. The tour was just long enough to give us the key information but was presented well and gave us a real sense of this lovely family business. Wine was delicious and a good price. Would recommend this lovely afternoon out to anyone who enjoys wine or Greek culture.”

“Amazing! The activity provider took me to and from the location. I was welcomed and greeted by the owner. The guide was a lovely, true rare gem young girl called Elena, she was really beautiful and intelligent young lady. I really was amazed by her confidence and energy (even if I am 24). The tour was very interesting and wines delicious the snack was very nicely presented and tested nice too. Lovely experience.”

“De plek is heel mooi. In augustus zijn ze daar zelf ook aan het werk. Ze laten zien hoe ze wijn maken en wat voor wijn. Daarna mag je de heerlijke wijnen proeven met een snack waar goed overna is gedacht. Wij vonden we dat een uurtje net te kort is, dus als je eigen vervoer hebt of vraagt of je later weg kan is het wat relaxter.”

GT GetYourGuide travelerAug 2025

“Tour and drinks lasted 35 minutes. Over priced and overall boring. Cannot fault the driver at all. Would not recommend…and that’s coming from wine lovers.”
