50/50 Restaurant: Local Flavours and Laid-Back Charm in Sidari, Corfu

If you find yourself wandering the breezy north coast of Corfu, following lanes shaded by pine trees and the scent of salt air, Sidari’s inviting waterfront draws you in. Amid the hum of slow summer days and the gentle clinking from café terraces, 50/50 Restaurant welcomes both new arrivals and regulars with a relaxed, light-filled atmosphere and a menu that celebrates the simple pleasures of Greek food.

The Setting: Sidari’s Seaside Energy

Sidari is a lively spot popular with families, couples, and anyone tempted by the island’s natural beauty and easygoing pace. The buzz rises and falls here with the day—mornings see the first sun-warmed tables set for breakfast, while evenings fill with laughter and clinking glasses as the heat lifts. At 50/50 Restaurant, outdoor tables catch the shimmer of the Ionian Sea, and a gentle breeze brings relief after a day spent at the beaches nearby.

Greek Hospitality, Sidari Style

Hospitality in Corfu has always been about genuine warmth, not grand gestures. At 50/50 Restaurant, the welcome is friendly and relaxed, with the staff happy to guide you through the seasonal dishes or offer suggestions for things to do in Sidari and Corfu’s north.

What’s on the Table?

Though the menu may follow the Greek tradition, the kitchen occasionally surprises with plates inspired by Mediterranean flavors. Expect the fresh tang of feta, locally grown tomatoes bright from the market, grilled seafood, and classics like moussaka or souvlaki. Each meal is built on fresh, local ingredients—ideal fuel after a morning swim or a walk to the dramatic rock formations Sidari is known for.

  • Greek salads made from ripe produce
  • Charcoal-grilled meats and handmade souvlaki
  • Fresh seafood, including calamari or local catch of the day
  • Simple, satisfying vegetarian options
  • Homemade desserts, often starring honey and local fruit

Dine slowly here—meals stretch out to match the relaxed Corfiot rhythm. The shaded terrace keeps things cool even during the height of summer, and as dusk falls you might hear distant church bells from Sidari village or the percussion of a local festival along the promenade.

“The owner was super kind and helpful! Even though we arrived at 3:30 PM, he welcomed us warmly and made us feel at ease right away. He was extremely helpful in recommending typical Greek dishes, helping us choose and introducing us to the flavors of traditional cuisine. An extra mention goes to the truly appreciated gesture of offering fruit at the end of the meal. A truly positive experience, both for the food and, above all, for the hospitality and kindness. A highly recommended restaurant, and one we will definitely return to!”
