About this tour

Set Sail from Corfu: A Day Exploring Parga, Sivota, and the Blue Lagoon

For travelers longing to experience the spirit of Corfu, Greece—not only its lush landscapes but the salt-tang of Ionian adventure—a full-day cruise linking Parga, Sivota, and the fabled Blue Lagoon is hard to beat. The Corfu: Parga, Sivota and Blue Lagoon Full-Day Boat Cruise provides an atmospheric day trip that blends coastal scenery, historical villages, and some of the clearest waters in the Ionian chain.

Morning Light in Corfu Town

Your journey begins in the gentle warmth of a Corfu morning, where terracotta rooftops catch the sun and the aromas of sea and pine fill the air. Guests are collected from locations throughout the north and central island—an especially handy feature for those based in different hotels in Corfu or family-friendly resorts.

Blue Lagoon: Swim and Snorkel in Ionian Clarity

The cruise unfolds across 10 to 12 leisurely hours, with plenty of time to bask on deck or lean into the wind as your boat approaches the famed Blue Lagoon. This corner of the Ionian is renowned for its astonishing water clarity, perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Slip into the cool blue, trail fingers through sunlit shallows, and let the mountain silhouettes of Corfu and mainland Greece frame your swim.

Discovering Sivota’s Seaside Caves

Another highlight is entering a luminous cave around the Sivota Islands—a true Ionian marvel. Inside, the stone glows in emerald and sapphire hues beneath the shifting sunlight, while pine and wild thyme scent the air above. It’s a brief but atmospheric detour into the natural drama of the region, perfect for those who revel in both wild and romantic places in Corfu.

Parga: History, Cafés, and Cosmopolitan Charm

The vessel then calls at Parga, a postcard-worthy seaside town whose pastel houses tumble down the hillside to a lively waterfront. Here, you can wander narrow stone lanes, discover whitewashed chapels, or linger in shaded café terraces with a coffee or a chilled glass of local white wine. Parga’s blend of Venetian, British, and Ottoman influences reveals itself in intricate balconies and vibrant squares—a real treat for those seeking cultural Corfu attractions beyond the usual beach day.

Shipwreck Stories and Local Legends

Throughout the day, multilingual guides narrate the region’s layered history, sharing tales of shipwrecks and forgotten pirates. This attentive onboard commentary, offered in six languages (English, French, German, Italian, and Russian), gives depth and context to each coastal stop—making the cruise popular both as a family-friendly day out and as a romantic Corfu experience.

“Our cruise from Corfu to Parga was lovely! Bear in mind the trip there feels quite fast, but the trip back can feel a bit longer, so be sure to bring some form entertainment. What helped the long cruise back is we met up with the Ionian Seaways partner ship that had sailed to Paxos on that day, and we sailed alongside them. There was a DJ on the Paxos ship, and with Bluetooth speakers, his music played on our Parga ship as well. It was a lot of fun! The crew was also very friendly! Worth every penny, I'd say.”

“We really enjoyed our cruise to Parga, the tour guide Maria was excellent, she was so friendly and informative along the way :) It’s very good value for money, you get time to explore Parga, stop off at the blue lagoon for swimming, and you even get entertainment from Greek dancers on the way back! We paid an extra £6 each to get picked up by coach from our hotel which made the day very easy. We definitely recommend this tour if you want to see some of mainland Greece and see the beautiful sites of Corfu Old Town on your way!”

“Very well organised trip- while cruising along the island our guide provided us with useful information about the places of interest. Swimming in Parga and in the Blue Lagoon was amazing; and one of the highlights of the trip was the party on the way back to Corfu, when there was a dance competition with the sister boat. Highly recommend.”

“Had a great time on this tour! Our favourite part was stopping at the Blue Lagoon, having a swim and then after the vibes came where the crew started playing music and dancing (alongside one of their other boats). 10/10 experience and a great day trip!”

“Parga town stunning, would have liked to spend more time there. Well worth the day trip.”

“First of all, you’re on the boat for a long time roughly 11-12 hours in total. To get to Parga is quite long also (around 3 hours). However, so worth it!! Parga is absolutely beautiful. One of the cutest little towns which we were able to explore for about 2.5-3 hours. On the way back we stopped off at the blue lagoon which was unreal, water is so clear you can see the fish swimming. Deffo put your goggles on and go for a swim! The boat itself does the job a little bit cramped but I’m not skinny and managed to get around fine. One thing I would say is put on lots of sun cream because you don’t notice the sun hitting you due to the breeze.”

“Our guide, the charming and beautiful Maria, made our experience memorable! She energetically kept us informed about history, geography, and archeology throughout the whole trip in six languages! Parga is now one of my favorite places in Greece. We went to the beach and had fresh seafood for lunch, overlooking the sea. I absolutely love swimming and was excited when we stopped a second time in Sivota for another dip in the sea. The waters are refreshingly clear. One of the best parts of the trip is the dance party and Greek dancers in traditional garb performing sirtaki on the ferry, towards the end of the day. Ionian Cruises is excellent. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the main port to catch the ferry in the morning, and we were transported back to our hotel once the tour was over. The captain is great and the group dynamic amicable and friendly. I would definitely try another adventure with Ionian Cruises.”
