“Stayed for 4 nights, location is near to the beach and lots of restaurants and a few shops. Rooms were standard rooms, lots of ants everywhere despite us being on the 1st floor. If you don’t get a swim up room your stay will be pretty dire. Not enough sunbeds around the pool, and there’s have towels all over them by 8am, pool is always filled with floaties from children so unable to actually swim and music blaring reminds me of Kevin & Perry go large. Drinks are drinks, nothing spectacular. I am lactose intolerant and I struggled to find anything other than salad and chips to eat all week, everything has cheese added to it and the desserts are all dairy based. Woken up most nights by people jumping in the swim up pools at 1am and doors slamming. Only given one bottle of water for the whole week and tea/coffee is not replenished in the room after arrival. Whole area smells like sewers. The beach is lovely though and lots of nice bars with lovely staff. Advice would be to pick another hotel along the road if you want this area as all the pools and sunbeds were empty every time we walked by and seem much cleaner and quieter atmosphere.”

“I have just returned from SunGate, staying as 2 adults in a twin room with a private pool. Overall we had a great stay, and would definitely return! I would say if a private pool room is available, it's definitely worth paying for, there was no rush for sunbeds and it really was complete privacy, we could swim as early or as late as we wanted and there was sun loungers included too. Room- The room itself looked recently decorated and the cleaners came everyday, they would make the bed, empty the bins and change the towels if needed. The shower temperature was temperamental, one minute it was cold, the next it was scalding, but we managed. The rooms were not very soundproof, we could hear next doors TV, hear the cleaners chatting and crashing around by 8am and one morning from around 6.30am a loud lorry, possibly sorting sewage right outside for almost an hour. It didn't ruin our stay as we were happy to be up early, but if you're a light sleeper or want to lay in, some ear plugs may be a good idea. Food- The food was ok, this hotel is much smaller than ones we have been to before, so there was a lot less options (eg- no real sausages, no pancakes, no pizza, no sauces for ice cream etc), but we found something to eat everyday and everything we had was cooked well and tasted great. Entertainent- If you're coming with children, I would suggest some games or something similar to keep them occupied in the evenings, as during our stay there was only adult orientated entertainment (a band, bingo and some dancers) which started around 9.30pm. Some children may enjoy this, but I thought it was worth mentioning. There is also a pool table at the pool bar. Staff- every staff member smiled, said hello and helped where ever possible. We learnt a lot about the olive trees around the hotel from the man who works in reception. Surrounding area- There was lots of little shops and walks surrounding the hotel, so this is usually what we did morning and evening to explore. One of the beaches had different water sports that you could book, as well as boat hire. There was also an excursion shop down the road where you can book trips.”

“Honestly we had the best holiday so relaxing and calm there. Staff are all lovely and friendly. Sidari is stunning aswell. The only problem we had was our shower kept leaking but hey its minor. The room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels. If you're thinking of booking do it! We had a lovely time.”

“We really enjoyed our all-inclusive holiday staying in the SunGate Hotel in Sidari, Corfu 06 – 13 Jul 2026. We just love this hotel, its staffs from the receptionists to the bar’s and restaurant’s as well as the room service’s, were all very friendly, even though some of them did not speak English much, their smiles and sincere manners absolutely made us feel home. Lots of choices of food, Greek food, BBQ, fresh salad and fruits, all sort for us to eat as much as we want. My husband enjoyed different drinks at the bar and I enjoyed the Ouzo with lemon and the non-alcoholic cocktails, Lovely drinks! The double room with a private swimming pool and sun beds was superb. The private zone provided the quietness for us to relax and have a nap when we felt tired from outdoor activities. The hotel has late check out with different rates of charges. As our coach pick up time was in the evening, I must give a big thank you for the lady, Ms Amalia and two gentlemen who worked by the reception desk. They arranged a cosy room for us to stay after checked-out our original room until evening. We really appreciated their lovely service. We have already decided to go back again next time. Thank you SunGate Hotel for giving us an awesome holiday!”
