About this place

Sunriders: Your Starting Point for Exploring Corfu’s North by Scooter or ATV

The sun rises over the north coast of Corfu, Greece, bringing with it the promise of salty air, lazy mornings in olive shade, and days that drift from pebbled beaches to quiet villages. From Roda—a lively seaside village where the Ionian sparkles and the mountain wind delivers scents of pine and wild thyme—wandering deeper into Corfu feels like a privilege. That’s where Sunriders comes in: a trusted local name in transportation rentals, helping travelers see the island as locals do, under blue skies and at their own gentle pace.

Corfu’s Roda: Laid-Back Base for Island Adventures

Roda has a rhythm of its own. Pine trees sway along the main village road. Sun-warmed café tables spill almost to the sea, where fishermen untangle nets in the early light. It’s an ideal gateway—small enough to feel welcoming, yet perfectly placed for day trips beyond the obvious Corfu attractions. Whether you’re based in a seafront hotel or tucked away in a family-run guesthouse, Roda places you within easy reach of mountain villages, sandy coves, and quiet roads fringed with cypress.

Why Choose Sunriders for Transportation in Corfu

Public transport has its charms, but to truly follow your curiosity—down an olive lane to a hillside church, or up into the whispering pine woods—you’ll want wheels. Sunriders, found locally in Roda and online at corfubikerentals.com, specialises in scooter, quad bike, and motorcycle rentals. Their fleet is well-kept and regularly updated, with options suited for solo adventurers, couples with picnic dreams, or families seeking a sense of freedom amid the summer rush.

What to Expect: Ease, Friendliness, Local Knowledge

Booking a rental here is refreshingly straightforward. The team is approachable—offering genuine local advice without the hard sell. They’re quick to share route suggestions based on seasonal highlights or places off the tourist map. In the heat of August, they’ll point you to quiet bays where the water laps at your toes in pine-shaded stillness; in springtime, perhaps a mountain road lined with wildflowers and views over the glittering Ionian Sea.

Types of Rentals: Choose Your Ride

  • Scooters: Nimble, fuel-efficient, perfect for weaving through Roda’s village lanes or heading up the coast for a lazy lunch at a taverna by the sea.
  • ATVs/Quads: For adventurous pairs and families, quad bikes are a flexible choice for gravel tracks or mountain trails where you might spot a goat or two above Perithia.
  • Motorbikes: For experienced riders, bigger bikes offer access to Corfu’s winding interior roads with those signature olive groves and unexpected views down to pale blue bays.

Local Routes & Things to Do from Roda

Roda makes a fine starting point for low-key Corfu tours. Head west towards Agios Stefanos for wide beaches with soft, warm sand and a dreamy sunset. Inland, find ancient mountain villages like Old Perithia resting under a quilt of wildflowers in spring. Not far along the coast, the sandstone cliffs of Sidari are a favourite for families and couples alike.

  • Ride to hidden coves beneath olive groves around Astrakeri and Acharavi
  • Discover old stone churches and village cafés where locals linger over strong Greek coffee
  • Stop at family-run tavernas for grilled sardines or a cold drink under plane trees

Practical Tips for a Smooth Ride

  • Greek law requires wearing helmets—Sunriders makes sure all riders are equipped and briefed
  • Roads in the north can be narrow and twisty; ride calmly and give yourself time to stop for roadside views
  • Fuel stations and convenience shops are sprinkled throughout the area—easy enough for a thirsty scooter, even in high summer

Seasonal Notes & Rental Details

Corfu’s roads belong to the summer sun, but spring and autumn promise quieter routes and dramatic evening light across the sea. Details such as opening hours, availability, prices, or seasonal arrangements can change, so it is worth checking directly before you go.

The Spirit of Slow Travel on Corfu’s Roads

Whether you’re after a spontaneous ride to a cliff-top view or a leisurely day connecting villages, the independence of your own set of wheels from Sunriders becomes part of your holiday rhythm. This is the kind of freedom that leads to new discoveries—a shaded chapel, a panoramic viewpoint, or simply an afternoon lost among the olive trees. In Roda and the north of Corfu, Greece, there may be no better way to make the island your own.

“I rented two 50cc scooters for a week. There was the opportunity to test drive the scooters (the selection was quite large), which was great for beginners to get used to the vehicles. The people at the shop were very friendly, and there were absolutely no problems with the scooters. Free shuttle back to the hotel – everything was perfect, I'd gladly rent from them again. And the price was perfectly reasonable.”

“Rented a quad from them 3 times. Pleasant way of communicating. Great price. We got the new quad (450cc). Really fun to discover parts of the island this way.”

“We've been renting quads on the Greek islands for several years, so we have extensive experience and can compare different companies. This rental company was by far the best we've ever used. The owner personally picked us up from our hotel and prepared beautiful, new orange 4x4 quads for us. The equipment performed admirably, easily conquering mountain trails and steep descents leading to beaches, while also using little fuel. The personalized approach to each customer was also a big plus. Helmets were carefully fitted for both us and the children. I also appreciated the absence of the typical restrictions and prohibitions like "please don't drive on gravel roads," so we could fully enjoy exploring the island. After returning the quads, we were returned to our hotel free of charge. This is a family-run company whose employees speak excellent English and ensure customer comfort at every stage. Gdynia sends warm regards to the entire Sunriders team! I wholeheartedly recommend this rental company – 100% satisfaction!”
