Folies Corfu Hotel Apartments

“Not impressed with the service and amenities to say the least of it. Initially, we were given the room that looked nothing like the picture of the room we booked with the view to the old tire dumpster and the parking lot. When we switched rooms, our new room had no kitchenette and the internet was almost non-existent. It would connect once in 15 minutes if so. The last straw was that they refused to clean the room and change the towels even though we stayed two nights and their policy is to clean every second day, so they calculated the second day to be after our departure just to clean up for the next guests… and when I tried to explain that we are leaving at 6 in the morning and we needed towels, they kept insisting it’s the policy and the second day can only be the day of our departure. There was no phone in the room to call the reception, so go ahead and use your roaming to call them from your cell. They charge extra for everything, even water. They save on little things but make an overall impression of being cheap and petty. In the morning, I woke up because the dogs in the neighbouring houses were barking loudly and non-stop, which is outside of anyone’s control but something to keep in mind. Also, it is close enough to the airport to hear every plain take off and fly but far enough to walk there. We asked for the airport transfer (cost of 20€, not complimentary) and they told us to come 15 minutes before we needed to leave. When we did so, there was no one are the reception and we had to wait for 10 minutes and get worried about making it in time. We did not enjoy our stay at all and couldn’t wait to leave.”

“Cleanliness was average, I complained that the TV only received ERT and the answer was to reset the remote control. You had to touch the shower gel in the shower. There was no way to go out onto the veranda. There was a mosquito net moving all the time. This is not a room, but a gym.”

“Hi, If you want to work as an antkiller on your vacation you have come to the right resort. Here they will look you straight into your eyes and ask you if you eat in the bathroom because that is the only reason there are ant in the bathroom if you go and eat like an animal. When you try to bring these things up to the reception they say "yes we have notfied the manager" then when you ask what has the manages then said? they come back with he has not said anything about the problems. You should have come to us in the morning when the manager was available to talk to him. btw this ant problem is of the secound apartment that we got moved into. and the socket problem was in the first one, just wanted to show you in the images were the socket problem is well right behind were you sleep. "they say that they have fixed it now but up to you if you want to gamble". Anyways who am i to stop you from going to your dreeeeeeam resort. Were YOU can work as an antkiller i did day and night loved it when i woke up to what felt like ants biting my feet and me going up with a bug spary killing them then sweeping them away (they provide you with the inventory of a bugspray and a sweper highly recommend the bugspray) personally would not recommend this place as there are alot better places to be in corfu dont get baited by the saturated pictures. They are like the instagram girls fake. //Makarios”

“Overall, we were very satisfied and would definitely recommend the accommodation. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were lovely and well-equipped. There's a café next to the pool, which we found particularly convenient. The pool could perhaps be cleaned a bit more thoroughly, as we saw a few dead insects in the morning. The location is somewhat remote. This isn't a problem at all if you have a car. However, without a car, you should definitely do your research beforehand, as the bus only runs once an hour at most, and the nearest stop is quite a distance away. P.S. Walking from the airport to the apartments was definitely not a good idea. The infrastructure along the way is really not very good. It's better to take a taxi or arrange a transfer.”
