Corfu Holiday Palace: Five-Star Island Calm Overlooking Mouse Island

It’s easy to see why Corfu Holiday Palace earns its name. Here, just a short drive from Corfu Town’s UNESCO-listed old streets, you wake to the sound of distant church bells and the salty scent of the Ionian Sea drifting through your balcony doors. With pine and cypress trees softening the Mediterranean sun and the mouse-sized isle of Pontikonisi shimmering offshore, this celebrated accommodation in Corfu, Greece is perfect for travelers seeking both relaxation and local flavor.

Stay Above Corfu’s Iconic Views

This is one of Corfu’s most established accommodation choices—and a fine place to experience the island’s natural drama. Guest rooms and suites look out over impossibly blue waters, the historic causeway at Kanoni below, and, in the distance, Corfu’s green hills rolling between sea and sky. In the morning, the Ionian light glows gold over your coffee; at sunset, the scene takes on the soft colours of evening village walks.

Location: Between Town and Sea

The Holiday Palace sits in a prized location just 4 kilometres from Corfu Town. Here, you can stroll along rural lanes shadowed by olive trees or reach town easily for a dinner among the arcades and lantern-lit squares. The distance is just enough for peace but close enough for quick access to top Corfu attractions, including the elegant Spianada and serene Liston promenade.

Easy Access to Mouse Island and Beaches

Few places in Corfu offer such a postcard-perfect vantage of Mouse Island and the whitewashed chapel of Vlacherna. On calm, clear mornings, you can step down to the causeway nearby or wander along the cliffs for salty air and boat watching. Several beaches are within easy reach for a morning swim or quiet moment in the pine shade.

“Overall, a very good and pleasant hotel with great facilities, though there is room for improvement in a few areas. The Positives: Location and Views: The hotel is located less than a 10-minute drive from the airport and offers beautiful, scenic views. Getting to the city center is incredibly easy thanks to the 2A bus line, which has a stop right outside the hotel entrance. Pool and Beach: The outdoor saltwater pool is excellent, large, and well-equipped with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. The private elevator providing direct access to the beach is highly convenient and useful. The beach itself is quiet and has all the necessary amenities. Food: The food was outstanding. We booked a half-board package including breakfast and dinner, and both the variety and quality of the dishes were excellent. Rooms: Our room was comfortable, spacious, and came with a lovely balcony, which seems to be available in every room. Areas for Improvement: The Gym: The fitness center is poorly maintained. The equipment is old, some machines were broken, and it feels neglected. This is a shame for a hotel of this standard. The TV: The television in the room was quite small and had terrible reception. We were there during the World Cup 2026, so this was particularly frustrating. Dinner Drinks Policy: A rather strange policy, as cold drinking water was not provided for free during dinner. Having to pay extra for basic cold water left a bit of a bad taste, as it feels like a fundamental amenity that should be included. Despite the drawbacks, it is still a lovely place to stay, and we had a great time”
