Cnic Gemini Hotel

“Hotel je pekny, ma dva bazeny, dva venkovni bary. Ubytovani ciste, pratelsky kolektiv. Recepce absolutne bez problemu. Jedine k cemu mam vytku bylo jidlo. Chapu, ze varit a vymyslet neco noveho, kdyz kazdy tyden mate nive hosty nedava smysl, ale ani jednou gyros a kebab z nejakeho polofabrikatu nebylo nejlepsi. Ocenuji sladke dezerty, tech byla hromada, i kdyz je nejim, tak deti byla paf. Stejne tak zelenina byla ok. Ale hlavní jidla, po trech dnech uz jste vedeli, co asi bude. Prakticky veprove na X zpusobu. Ryby velmi malo. Ale chapu, ze ne kazdy je na ryby - vlatne to bylo i videt na talirich :(”

“We arrived at this splendid and bucolic property to spend our long-awaited summer holidays. The receptionist was courteous and very thorough, the rooms clean and comfortable with air conditioning and wonderful panoramic windows, and the food was excellent and plentiful for all guests. Spiron was fantastic, always courteous. In this special setting, Simone is a key figure, managing the entertainment and welcoming guests. He is an excellent entertainer, and every evening is guaranteed: music, dancing, singing, and entertainment, lots of fun and relaxation. We give them praise, they definitely deserve it! Well done, keep it up, top ten.”

“A bad experience for our group. While the buildings are modernly renovated, the rooms and facilities are showing their age prematurely (paint, bathroom grout, worn headboards). The two pools are pleasant, and even in August, tourists don't overbook sunbeds, so there's always space, which is very nice. The bartender is a master of cocktails! However, overall, the staff is completely unaware of customer experience and hotel service: no one ever greets you, except for the cleaning staff; the restaurant servers completely ignore you; and the receptionist sighs conspicuously when you ask for any information or even a second key card for the room. The only interaction seems to be asking you to pay (for example, a €10 deposit for towels, which is normal, but you can't change them regardless of the length of your stay without paying €2. I've never seen anything like it). The room service is inconsistent (in one of the group's rooms, the beds were NEVER made in two weeks, and repeated requests to reception made no difference). There's no entertainment despite the announcements, and the evening karaoke, consisting of YouTube ads (sic), is laughable. The location is 20 meters from the sea, which is a plus, as is the small car rental shop opposite the hotel, whose prices are negotiable and reasonable. In fact, you have to venture outside Messonghi to truly discover Corfu. The value for money is terrible; for a similar price, run away immediately!”

“A week's stay at this hotel. The welcome was somewhat lukewarm, and there was no communication prior to our stay. The hotel itself was clean, the room bright and pleasant, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied, as was the dinner buffet. The grounds were very green, and the two swimming pools were also very nice, with sun loungers and parasols.”

“Unfortunately, the hotel's reviews tempted me to choose it. Its location so close to a pebbly beach, which is very difficult to access because most of it belongs to tavernas that rent out sunbeds for a fee. So, without water shoes, it's simply a painful experience. The hotel itself is simply underwhelming. It was awarded a 4-star rating, but probably when it opened. The staff at the reception and bars are constantly dissatisfied and hardly return a smile. The food is mediocre, and of course, like most places, breakfast is rather monotonous, but there's plenty to choose from, which is a real challenge here. Lunch is simply awful, only dinner redeems it somewhat because it's actually varied and you can eat in peace. The pool in the photo looks large, but that's just an impression; you don't have to fight for sunbeds. The airport is 15 km away, which is over an hour's drive. And now for the highlight of the day: the drinks: juices are never next to juices, and Coca-Cola and the other drinks are colored and overly sweet. If you're expecting a drink, you'll have to go out and pay. The all-inclusive option only includes alcoholic beverages. You can combine them yourself (see the photos below). Other drinks are charged. They're open at the bar, not even in the fridges. If you have children, there's absolutely nothing for them in the hotel, except for a two-by-two paddling pool and a playground. There's no entertainment, except for aqua aerobics and yoga, which, if you don't approach them and find out about, no one even tells you about it. Towels are provided as 10-euro deposits, which is fine. Unfortunately, replacing them with clean ones requires a fee—this is the first time I've encountered this. My rating is below 3 stars. I know that the reviews on Itaka's website might suggest otherwise, but don't be fooled.”
