Staying at The Yard Corfu: A Boutique Retreat Among the Olive Groves of Moraitika

Along the sun-dappled lanes of Moraitika, a lively village in the south of Corfu, The Yard Corfu stands apart as a contemporary boutique hotel with deep roots in island tradition. This thoughtfully designed accommodation strikes a gentle balance—embracing modern comforts while celebrating the timeless rhythm of Greek island life.

Nature’s Calm at the Heart of Moraitika

Tucked quietly behind the bustle of the main street, The Yard Corfu’s setting places you in a remnant of tranquil countryside. Olive trees stretch their silvery branches overhead, casting shifting shade across pathways where guests drift from private rooms to the lush garden or open-air terraces. The sea air drifts up from the nearby coast, mingling with the subtle scent of pine and sun-warmed stone—an authentic Corfiot welcome each morning.

Modern Rooms Rooted in Local Character

Every detail at this boutique accommodation draws inspiration from the landscape. Interiors reflect Corfu’s gentle colours—soft whites, sun-bleached wood, stone, and touches of olive green—creating a sense of quiet sanctuary. From private balconies, you might hear the light chime of distant church bells or the laughter from a nearby taverna at dusk. Guests at The Yard Corfu find both comfort and connection—a place to pause between trips to the sea or strolls through village life.

Wellness with a Greek Island Spirit

Aside from its inviting rooms, this boutique hotel puts a gentle focus on wellness experiences. Stretch out under olive branches for a morning Pilates class, or seek out the on-site gym for a workout cooled by evening breezes. The pace is always your own—whether you prefer energetic mornings or lazy afternoons in the shade. The cycle of sun and shade, the lull of island time, encourage you to recharge in harmony with Corfu’s landscape.

Local Flavours, Modern Touch

The Yard Corfu doesn’t just promise restful nights: it feeds guests in a contemporary way, proud of its heritage. The hotel’s modern Greek gastronomy takes its cue from Corfu’s culinary traditions—using olive oil pressed just miles away, local vegetables, and aromatic island herbs. Enjoy breakfast outside, with the first rays of light warming your table, or linger over an evening meal in good company as cicadas begin their chorus.

Close to the Best of Moraitika and Beyond

This Moraitika accommodation puts you within easy reach of village shops, open-front bakeries, and friendly cafés perfect for a midday break or evening wine. The broad beach at Moraitika, ideal for swimming and strolling, is just a short wander away, making sunrise swims or sunset walks down to the water deliciously simple.

“We had a wonderful stay at The Art Hotel Corfu and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The hotel is beautifully maintained, and the cleanliness is exceptional. Our room was cleaned thoroughly every morning, and everything was always spotless. The restaurant is truly one of the highlights. The food is delicious, with a great variety of fresh and high-quality dishes, and the service is excellent. The staff throughout the hotel are incredibly kind, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. The facilities are fantastic. There is a large swimming pool, direct access to the beach, a well-equipped gym, relaxing massage services, and even morning Pilates classes, which were a lovely surprise. The cocktails at the bar were also excellent and made our evenings even more enjoyable. If you’re planning a trip to Corfu, we highly recommend staying at The Art Hotel Corfu. It offers great service, wonderful amenities, delicious food, and a relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely love to come back!”

“We recently concluded a week-long stay at The Yard Corfu, departing on Sunday, and our experience vastly exceeded our expectations. As you can see from the website and previous reviews, the property is exquisite. The rooms are elegantly appointed, the olive tree garden provides a serene escape, and the restaurant offers superb culinary experiences for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, what cannot be captured in photographs is the unparalleled level of hospitality. The true soul of this property lies in its exceptional staff. Denis is truly one of a kind! Along with Eugene, Ken, the gracious receptionist, and the rest of the attentive team, they are the defining reason we are eager to return. Each of them is a consummate professional. Denis and Eugene elevate the dining experience far beyond standard service; their attention to detail rivals that of a top-tier fine dining establishment. A special note of praise must also go to the housekeeping team. The ladies provided flawless service—our room was kept immaculately clean, meticulously organized, and they even went above and beyond by thoughtfully folding our clothes each day. Last but certainly not least, the chef deserves immense praise. The menu is outstanding, and every dish is beautifully plated like a work of art—not to mention they serve the absolute best tzatziki! We had an unforgettable holiday and sincerely hope to return to The Yard Corfu very soon.”

“I went with my partner and another couple and we really enjoyed the hotel itself, a small boutique and really beautiful with stones and trees near a really beautiful mountain. We especially enjoyed the hotel's service and the meals there are really delicious. If you only eat fish and chips pasta and such on the sand, there are really delicious fish and chips dishes there and they are really satisfying. The hotel staff is perfect, helping with everything, everything you can think of, especially Dennis the General, Konstantina, Ken and Mariliza. We really enjoyed ourselves overall. One last thing to note is that the old city and many beaches take between 35 and 55 minutes to drive, so take that into account.”
